This blog really i have started for myself. Something to look back on and realise how i’ve perhaps changed or not..

The thing is though, i am 50. Yes, you heard it right! 50 years of age. There’s too much to say about my past but i can fill you in on the fact that I married for 20 years and sort of lost my style , and all the things i used to love wearing, i sort of stopped wearing. I must have assumed in my head that getting married, having children tames you and you stop looking at yourself in that way, the way that makes you happy. I became quite conservative. Something i just wasn’t in my 20’s. In my 20’s i was a free spirit.

Anyway, my children have become teens now, i am getting a divorce, and i am finding my absolute love for my old style and more. Anything 70’s i realise, fills me with glee! Outfits, lamps, colours, movies, you name it! I am going to be buying my own house and it will be filled with touches of the 70’s. I cant wait!

As soon as i turned 50, i got a small tattoo. I know. Better late than never though hey. And i had my nose pierced. Perhaps a mid-life crisis? Or perhaps just doing as i want for once and not listening to those voices at the back of my head that says it’s not appropriate at that age. Well i guess hitting 50 is quite freeing, because i don’t really care anymore what others think. And it’s wonderful.

I will be using this blog to write down my retro finds and clothes, seeing it together will put a smile on my face. You’ll soon get to realise how much i love dungarees! Especially vintage ones. Vintage jumpers are also a passion. In fact, most things vintage…
